GLOVE AND MITTEN DRIVE
The Pre-k class in the Parent-Child Center
has initiated a mitten and glove drive. The children are
learning about the community and how they can help other
children when they do not have some of the basic things
to keep them warm in the winter. They have set a goal of
collecting 100 pair, by Dec. 4th. If you would like to
host a drop box in your area, please call the childcare
center at ext. 4690 and we will get it right up to you.
If you do not want to host a box, but would like to
donate a pair send them over to the childcare center or
call and the children can pick them up on their daily
walk. Whatever you could do would be a great support to
the children's learning and more importantly you would be
helping a small child stay warm in the winter.

SUPPORT FOR THE
NEEDY DURING THE HOLIDAYS
At this time of the year, most of us at
Shoreline Community College are grateful for the many
comforts of our lives. We want to extend those heartfelt
feelings to those in our community who are less
fortunate. With this in mind, President Moore will
endorse those efforts to bring food, clothing, and other
gifts to the needy. We encourage you to get involved in
food bank donations, the Mitten and Glove Drive sponsored
by the Parent-Child Center, Toys for Tots,
Sponsor-a-Family, and other efforts. If you have
questions, please contact President Moore at hmoore@shoreline.edu.

Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at 7:30 pm at St. Luke Church
The Shoreline Community College Chamber
Chorale and Shoreline Singers will present a wide variety
of music including Psalm settings by Mozart, Mendelssohn,
and Shubert. Featured on the program is Leonard
Bernstein's striking "Chichester Psalms." This
work, which is quickly becoming a standard among college
and professional choirs, is written entirely in Hebrew.
It features the soaring melodies and intense rhythms for
which Bernstein became known. This concert is the perfect
way to start your holiday season...bring the whole
family!
MOVIE: THE
CELLULOID CLOSET
Monday, Nov. 24 from 12:30pm in Room 1402
A group of students will be showing the
documentary "The Celluloid Closet". "THE
CELLULOID CLOSET" explodes sexual myths and explores
how our attitudes about homosexuality and sex roles have
evolved through the century. With clips from over 100
Hollywood movies and interviews with many of the
filmmakers and actors who created them THE CELLULOID
CLOSET is an epic story -- by turns surprising,
hilarious, and disturbing. The film will be followed by a
discussion and candy will be provided to participants!

GLOVE AND MITTEN
DRIVE

GLOVE AND MITTEN
DRIVE
The Pre-k class in the Parent-Child Center
has initiated a mitten and glove drive. The children are
learning about the community and how they can help other
children when they do not have some of the basic things
to keep them warm in the winter. They have set a goal of
collecting 100 pair, by Dec. 4th. If you would like to
host a drop box in your area, please call the childcare
center at ext. 4690 and we will get it right up to you.
If you do not want to host a box, but would like to
donate a pair send them over to the childcare center or
call and the children can pick them up on their daily
walk. Whatever you could do would be a great support to
the children's learning and more importanly you would be
helping a small child stay warm in the winter.

Goodnight Desdemona (Good
Morning Juliet)
November 13 —15, &
November 20 —22, 2004
7:30pm, Lobby Theater
Written By Ann-Marie MacDonald
Directed by Shelley Douma
Goodnight Desdemona, Good Morning Juliet is a fresh, vibrant and comedic
story of a college professor, Constance Ledbelly, who has developed
certain "theories" about the origins of some of Shakespeare's greatest
tragedies — in particular, Romeo and Juliet and Othello. Through the
magic of theater and Constance's imagination, she is transported to
Othello's citadel in Cypress and ancient Verona where she meets face to
face with the heroes, villains and other characters of these famous
plays. Most importantly she meets her heroines — Juliet and Desdemona —
who open her eyes to herself! All the while, Constance encounters ghosts
and sword fights, and she and the audience have a fast-paced, funny,
good time.
