VOTER REGISTRATION DRIVE
Week of September 27, in front of the PUB
A group of SCC students, faculty, administrators and staff are working to ensure that
members of the SCC community are registered to vote for the November General Election. The
week of September 27th, is the LAST WEEK Washington voters can register by mail to
vote. A voter registration table is being set up outside the PUB (weather
permitting) every day that week to pass out voter registration forms. The SCC Student
Government has organized a group of students to staff the table on Monday, Tuesday and
Wednesday of that week. The students have done their part, and our task is to staff the
table Thursday, September 30 and Friday, October 1 between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. with
faculty, staff and administration volunteers.
If you would like to volunteer to staff the table for a
90-minute time slot, please sign up. You must make arrangements to ensure that your
volunteer time is on your own time, and not when you have other college responsibilities.
The sign up sheet is located in the "Voter Registration" box in the Student
Activities Office (Room 952) on the top shelf to the left of Lisa Smith's desk. When you
sign up, you will receive an email confirming your time slot and instructions for staffing
the voter registration table. Please contact John Lederer at x6708 if you have any
questions.
