With the completion of the 2900 building construction, the parking in that area is back to its original capacity. The parking against the building and directly across from the building is for faculty/staff. The parking along the roadway on both sides is for students.

The visitor lot has been changed to two hour parking for visitors only. Employees and students who park there will receive a ticket. Visitors who will be here for longer than 2 hours can get a visitor permit from our office for the day. There is an exception for disabled people in the visitor lot. Students or employees with a valid disabled placard or plate and a valid Shoreline permit can park in the visitor lot for the day.

Other changes have been made to parking to accommodate the traffic flow during the day. Please be aware that 419 spaces are now allocated to employee parking. If you have any questions, please contact Becky Gibler at bgibler@shoreline.edu.

CATCH OF THE DAY
Just as the phrase says, receiving a "Catch of the Day" gold card means a colleague wants to thank you for doing a great job. Everyone at Shoreline is eligible to receive these cards--and if you collect eight, bring them or send them to Michele Foley in the President's Office to receive a coupon for a free Whidbey's beverage of your choice! Each card includes the name of the recipient as well as the staff member bestowing the "Catch"--and room for a brief description of what was observed.

VOTER REGISTRATION DRIVE
Week of September 27, in front of the PUB

A group of SCC students, faculty, administrators and staff are working to ensure that members of the SCC community are registered to vote for the November General Election. The week of September 27th, is the LAST WEEK Washington voters can register by mail to vote.  A voter registration table is being set up outside the PUB (weather permitting) every day that week to pass out voter registration forms. The SCC Student Government has organized a group of students to staff the table on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of that week. The students have done their part, and our task is to staff the table Thursday, September 30 and Friday, October 1 between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. with faculty, staff and administration volunteers.

If you would like to volunteer to staff the table for a 90-minute time slot, please sign up. You must make arrangements to ensure that your volunteer time is on your own time, and not when you have other college responsibilities. The sign up sheet is located in the "Voter Registration" box in the Student Activities Office (Room 952) on the top shelf to the left of Lisa Smith's desk. When you sign up, you will receive an email confirming your time slot and instructions for staffing the voter registration table. Please contact John Lederer at x6708 if you have any questions.
