Set your new Lift and Shift Password

The New Minisoft Icon

Shortly before the Lift and Shift cutover date a new icon will appear on your desktop like the one below.

LnS MiniSoft Icon

Before May 31, keep using the HP3000 (Minisoft) icon you have always used

Starting May 31, use the new Minisoft icon labeled LnS Secure92

Setting your Password using the New LnS Secure92

1. Double-click the icon to start

2. You will see a new login window like the one below

Your username is the same as your current HP3000 username, so if you login now as HELLO GSMITH,CEIPLUS.P070 then
your username is GSMITH, in ALL CAPS

NOTE: There is no P070 at the beginning of your username as we were initially told

NOTE: Even though the form says "Leave blank to use" your username, you must type in your username,
since the username it guesses may not be correct.

3. The first time you login, you will get the warning message displayed below.

Type "yes" (without quotes) in the box and click OK. Capitalization doesn't matter: Yes, YES, or yes all work.
You will not see this message again.

4. After you click OK, you will see a new password window like the one below

Enter the temporary password, gol!veP070 and click OK.

NOTE: Capitalization matters, so GOL!VEP070 and gol!vep070 will not work

Enter TempP070

5. Now you are asked to change your password. First enter gol!veP070 again as your "old" password

Enter TempP070! again

6. Now enter the new password you will want to use. Remember this password, since it is what you will use starting May 31 to access the new HP. Follow these rules:

  • Minimum length of 8 characters
  • Minimum of 2 letters, e.g. A-Z or a-z, at least one UPPER case, at least one lower case
  • Minimum of 1 number
  • Minimum of 1 special character, e.g. !, %, $ but NOT @, &, #, or *
  • ==> These requirements must be met in the first 8 characters of the password! So if you have a long password with
your number or special character at the end, it will not work

Enter your new password

7. Now enter your new password again.

Enter your new password again

8. Once you have successfully set your new password you see the following message. Close LnS Secure92. You are finished.

You are finished
